I'm signing because my parents just moved here a couple of years ago. They moved here because of the fact there were wardens who took care of the place and arranged activities. Something which River Clyde representatives explicitly expressed at the time they visited to view the property, and is one of the main reasons my parents decided to move here. The wardens hard work has greatly improved my parents quality of life, and the weekly activities and events are something they really look forward to. To take this service away is a severe detriment to the social needs and wellbeing of the residents.Michael Skilling (2026-04-09)

This is a vital service to provide safe and much needed support for many elderly and vulnerable individuals to stay safely in their own homes and have interests and activities that they don’t have to travel to get to. people moved there because they thought they would have same level of support throughout their tenancy and it’s unfair to take that awayJudy McElwee (2026-04-10)

All the reasons given above! The safety, security and wellbeing of residents will be compromised. Alarm systems have their place but nothing can replace the interaction with another human being. As stated above, the wardens help counteract loneliness and isolation; the power of that cannot be understated. They can pre empt issues, concerns and situations and prevent them from becoming more serious.Catriona Strachan (2026-04-10)

My grand parents where in sheltered housing for a number of years before being moved to full time care and the wardens were absolute god sends in the sheltered housing. As a family we all felt safer knowing someone was looking in on them when we couldn’t. The wardens would arrange social gatherings within the complex allowing my grandparents to socialise safely as they were not fit enough to go out and about anymore. My grandparents also felt safer with the wardens than when they did when they lived in a flat. This service is so vital to many people within our community and if removed would be devastating.Pamela McIntyre (2026-04-14)

It's so much what the elderly deserve ,it's a vital service and for their safety and for some is the reason they make the decision to have sheltered housing as their home ,so can you please reconsider the decision for our aging populationWilma Cunningham (2026-05-07)
