Support petition nominating Sheldon Jacobson for INFORMS President-Elect for the 2027 Board of Directors
A number of people have suggested that Sheldon Jacobson would be an outstanding candidate to lead INFORMS as its President.
From the INFORMS Policies & Procedures and By-Laws, In accordance with Bylaw 3.4, additional nominations by petition of at least two and a half percent (2.5%) of the membership for any of the open officer or Vice President positions shall be accepted by the Secretary if received with all materials needed for ballot.
It also states,
This petition may be conducted electronically or by other means if the procedures below are followed:
1. The nominator will accumulate the responses from petitioners and submit them to the Secretary and the Executive Director, or designee by the date set in Bylaw 3.4.
2. Each petitioner will be checked for membership in INFORMS.
3. The response from each petitioner must make it clear that they have signed a petition to nominate.
To satisfy all these requirements, we need at least 350 INFORMS members like you to sign this petition supporting the nomination of Sheldon Jacobson for INFORMS President Elect for the 2027 Board of Directors. This will place him on the ballot.
If you are an INFORMS member and support his nomination, please sign this petition no later than May 1.
