Most Americans are one pay check from being homeless, for us to have everything steadily increase except our pay is ridiculous. We should not have to choose between food and electric, our medical needs and electric. We already have to get an extension several times a year because of the amount we have to pay.

As a single father and disabled veteran living on a fixed income, it is hard enough as it is to cover food etc. Higher electric bills to cover their short falls should not be or cause such burdens on the customer. As the electric franchise is a monopoly to begin with. The burdens of their unwillingness to make stock holders be responsible for some of the cost is a constant battle to struggle for low income families. I should not have to choose to feed my child or pay the electric bill due to it is ever increasing cost!

It is ridiculous. For a young married couple my husband and I have trouble sometimes with our current light bill. It's not right, I applaud you for standing up, and not just taking it!

Because its not right to have a board vote for the public when the public does not actually have a voice in the matter. If SCE&G is going to raise rates then MCEC should be allowed to come in and compete.

I raised my thermostat 2 degrees above what they advised and still only saved $50 from the previous month. I actually raised the thermostat a total of 6 degrees which in reality should have cut my bill in half ! I believe that SCE&G are actually manipulating the meter readings to be honest with you.

I'm tired of sce&g running our bills up higher and higher every year. I'm tired of them stealing my money. I don't think I should have to pay for them to build new reactors or out up new lines for power I will never receive.
