Seeking assistance for construction of building, suitable for business.

Since the beginning of Spa 4 Paws, my hopes have always been to have a building constructed for my business. Currently, I am working out of a 10x10 room located at 2 Spencer's Brook Road. Unfortuntely, this 10x10 room does not give me the opportunity to expand my business to meet the needs of my customers.
While grooming animals is great, as an addition to my business, I would like to offer boarding/kenneling services. This would require having more space... space that I do not have.
I have applied for grants, I have been in contact with the Liberals office, I have also been in contact with ACOA.
Sounds easy enough right? Make a call, ask for what you want, and maybe, just Maybe, receive some sort of satisfaction.
That was not the case. While the Liberal office directed me to other people(like ACOA), in pleading my case, without even asking for an amount I would be requesting, their response was 'there is nothing available for your industry'... nothing at all sir? 'Unless you are aboriginal, are you aboriginal?'... no sir, I am not... 'then I'm sorry but that is all we can offer right now.'
Shut down! It's likely to be called discrimination, if you want to get technical. I hold no grudge to those who qualify, I'm just very confused.
You preach 'Small Business' 'Entrepreneurship' etc... but when someone like myself is looking for help with a small business, you say 'no'.
My business is booming! I love my job, my customers, my clients. But to help my business grow, I need help and support to get me off the ground a little more, to offer the residents on the South Coast more sevices that are required here.
In hopes of someone out there, in there, or up there willing and able to at least try and hopefully succeed in helping my small business prosper, please sign this petition.
Someone, somewhere... will take the time to read it... and I pray that someone, somewhere... will give us some satisfaction!
