AI assistant

Let AI suggest a title and text or refine your own draft, and generate an eye-catching cover image for your petition. The AI assistant can also translate your petition into other languages. It also suggests decision makers you could hand the petition over to. A separate Media assistant helps you draft a press release or a news tip about your petition. Read more

You define the purposes for collecting personal data. Signatories decide for each purpose individually whether they consent. You can also arrange the consent questions in the order you prefer. Read more

Multilingual petitions

Translate your petition into multiple languages. The AI assistant can do the translating for you. Language versions are cross-linked automatically and share one signature list.

We provide 43 language versions and use 54 domain names for them. Some language versions share the petitions.com domain through language-specific subdomains. A domain name that matches the language version makes it easier to remember and promote the petition.

See all language versions. Read more

Cloudflare protection

Petitions are served behind Cloudflare, the market leader in blocking automated traffic. Its captcha is widely considered the best available, and it stops most bots before they ever reach the signature form. Cloudflare also absorbs denial-of-service attacks and traffic spikes, so your petition keeps collecting signatures even when it draws unwanted attention. Read more

What we do differently

No blind one-click signing

We don't let people sign based on a headline alone. Signatories always see the petition and its author before submitting their signature. One of the largest petition platforms offers one-click signing, but we believe signatories should know what they are signing and who the petition author is. Read more

We don't use your petition to grow our mailing list.

We only ask signatories for consent for purposes chosen by the petition author.

Many of the biggest platforms bundle their own marketing consents into the signature form of the petitions they are hosting. You can't opt in to petition updates without also agreeing to their emails. Read more

No automatic user accounts

Some petition platforms automatically create user accounts for signatories. Petitions.com lets people sign petitions without automatically creating an account for them. Read more

One Gmail address, one signature

Gmail ignores dots in an address: [email protected] and [email protected] are the same address to Google, and to us. Adding dots is one of the easiest ways to pad a petition with manipulated signatures from a single email account, and a large share of petition platforms still count every variation as a different person. Read more

More than a name and an email

Many petition platforms only let you collect fixed details. Here you can add your own questions with answer options. Read more

Language-specific domains

For the most popular languages on our service, we use language-specific domain names instead of putting every language version under one brand domain. A domain name that matches the language version makes the petition easier to remember and promote. Read more
