Petition against MSMC for same sex freshmen housing

This online petition is formed because of MSMC Board of Trustees decision for same sex freshmen housing and the strict rules that apply.  This information was brought to the student's attention during orientation, July, 2014, and a letter was mailed out during that same week.  There was no knowledge of this prior to orientation or for that matter upon acceptance to this college.  This would have been a deciding factor for many new students whether they chose to attend this college with this new policy.  This decision is not a realistic way for the students to live and does not create the college experience most of us want.  MSMC is  one of the few colleges to adapt this new policy.
