Why are you so hard on this family? There is no law in the entire US that states humans can't own pets, especially pet pigs.

As a responsible pig owner, she should have looked into whether or not she could own a pig BEFORE acquiring one. I had a pet pig, whom I loved dearly, and pigs bond forever with their humans. Separating this pig from his owner could spin him into a depression that could lead to his death. This irresponsible pig-owner is a potential pig killer because she wanted a pig without consideration as to the repercussions. I say keep Edgar & lose the girl!

I have been a long time family friend of Alice and her family. I've been around Edgar since they got him. He is not a threat to anyone and is well known around his neighborhood in DUMBO. He is a family pet just like a dog; part of the family. I'm aware there is a policy stating he can not resign in NYC. However, it seems unnecessary and a bit ridiculous to remove this pet from a home he's been in for quite some time now.
