Fighting Crime-Bloemfontein CBD(TOWN PATROLLERS)

Given the recent rise in businesses and people being constantly robbed in Bloemfontein CBD Free State while they are doing their shopping/walking in town or driving about it came to attention to make this petition.

The intention is to get as many signatures as possible to submit to the:-

1.Free State Legislature- Petitions Committee 

2.Department of Community safety,roads and transport Free State.

3.SAPS Free State Provincial Office.

The aim/plea is to get the above mentioned offices to assist by enforcing that the general Bloemfontein community and it's visitors/tourists are safe while in town,This can be archived by appointing, training and certifying "TOWN PATROLLERS" well equipped with visible PPE and equipment to deter and totally minimise the ongoing robbings happening in town.We will also be ensuring the Organised Crimes "SYNDICATES" of card theft,pick pocketing and ATM Scamming is stopped when the PATROLLERS are in liase with the law enforcement.

The two recent videos that are making rounds on social media are just a example of the crimes happening in our beautiful city one being of a women being pulled out of her car in broad daylight by a group of Men demanding that she hands over her Hand Bag and one being of a man being robbed while bystanders are doing nothing besides taking videos clearly shows that a intervention is needed and very quickly this can only be archived by initiating a Patrol system which is effective and visible.
