Stop the Bullying Against Christiaan van der Merwe

We, the undersigned, stand together to call for an immediate end to the ongoing bullying, harassment, and targeted online attacks against Christiaan van der Merwe.

Christiaan, like every person, has a past. He has made mistakes, and he has faced difficult consequences for them. But instead of giving up, he learned valuable lessons, grew from his experiences, and chose to rise above his past. At the end of March, he returned to TikTok not to cause harm, but to rebuild his reputation through honesty, kindness, and service.

Since his return, Christiaan has used his platform to help countless people - those who are sick, those in need, and those who have nowhere else to turn. He has offered emotional support, financial help where possible, and a sense of community and hope.

Despite his efforts to do good, Christiaan has become the target of continuous bullying on TikTok. These individuals have not only attacked him personally, but have also targeted his followers and the people who gift him, many of whom are simply appreciative of the support and kindness he offers. These attacks are cruel, relentless, and unjustified.

This harassment has gone far beyond social media. Christiaan’s direct family has been bullied, intimidated, and emotionally torn down solely because of their connection to him. They have been targeted unfairly and made to suffer for actions that are not their own. The impact of this hostility has been so severe that Christiaan has had to employ personal security and be accompanied to private events for safety. He has also been threatened and confronted both online and in public on multiple occasions.

This must stop.

Bullying - in any form, against any person - is unacceptable. No one deserves to be harassed or dragged down for trying to better themselves or help others. We demand that the bullies stop their attacks, leave Christiaan and his family alone, and allow him to continue using his platform in peace.

By signing this petition, we stand firmly against harassment, intimidation, and online abuse. We stand for fairness, respect, growth, and second chances.
