After everything the Province and the Federal government has put Jackie and his family through over these past 40 some years. Jackie stood his ground which in this world couldn’t have been easy. RIP Jackie. I would love to see your name every time I come to the airport in Moncton.

My father fought all his life for his people, for justice and rights. Him and my mother made many sacrifices for all of us. This is very important that we recognize his battle. Let`s be united for this important fight. Together we will win.

It was so wrong to expropriate the whole village. I’m glad that Jacquie never quit his cause. He never made an excuse for what the Canadian Trudeau government took away from his family and the next generations that followed right to the end of his life. That speaks volumes of his passion for his hometown and his beliefs. That said the sad truth can not be erased today.

Unfortunately my relative has fought hard till his last breath this needs to stop so that all our people may have a place to live that the government cannot take what we have we do not own the land we take care of the land also the relatives on my grandmother side Landry had laying there where they were taking care of it I hope that the government is ashamed of themselves of what they’ve done but anyway they have created a hero they have created a humanitarian his fight was for all of us all our relatives that was part of this land there Hass to be a way to stop the government from stealing our land the land that we were supposed to take care of the land that belongs to the creator nobody owns the land we were just caretakers but the settlers don’t understand that when they came here from where they lived there was ownership over the land ownership over The people where they came from. Indigenous people are not like that they couldn’t understand the settlers couldn’t understand our way of life they thought we had no creator I thought we had no culture they took away our language they took away our culture a lot of us are fighting to have our language saved to continue her language so this is a great loss for my family for the next generations his memory has to continue so they know that the elders have been trying really hard to keep our culture alive this is a new journey for Jackie from my ancestor we are not alone he will help us from the other side you could never kill an Indian because their spirits live on
All my respect I am honoured that he thought for our family but for the other generations who are yet here they will know the screen hero came before them
