Mmasebotsana Selowa (Johannesburg, 2026-03-20)

I’m a final year law student at NMU. Obtaining articles is not a walk in the part, they require experience from students, whereas getting registered for the PVT lessens the amount of stress one could be faced with. The mere problem is the amount paid as well as having no allowance in the process.

Nonhle Nhlumayo (Durban, 2026-03-21)

I'm an LLB student with no funding for Law School. I think this initiative will change lives of many graduates

George Khumalo (Johannesburg, 2026-03-21)

#1421

I agree to the proposal that the llb degree should include doing practical work, and the community service hours be reconsidered to accommodate those who are employed.

Makanye Mthimunye (Gauteng, 2026-03-21)

#1422

I’m signing because I agree that we as law students are facing financial hardship when it comes to pvt it just has to be made a compulsory module that sponsors like the NSFAS can cover once

Sebenzile Machetela (Johannesburg, 2026-03-21)

#1425

Aneliswa Gumede (Durban, 2026-03-21)

#1430

As a law student myself, I wish to make the transition to the workforce as smoothly as possible. With such expensive requirements it will never happen

Kgethego Rachidi (Polokwane, 2026-03-21)

#1431

I'm signing because I am unable to afford law school, PVT and it is difficult to get articles of clerkship and from law fiems as they mostly prefer graudates who holds PLT this delays the progress in one getting admitted

Maureen Mapula Malatji (Pretoria, 2026-03-21)

#1433

I'm studying law

Tebogo Mokoena (Mpumalanga, 2026-03-22)

#1438

I'm signing because I wanna see change

Boitumelo Lekgetho (Coligny, 2026-03-22)

#1443

I have experienced the expensive costs of law school and I know the struggle of being a candidate attorney yet carry such costs. Honestly doing pvt after graduating delays you from getting admitted as one has to stress about board exams.

Lebogang Sebothe (Makwassie, 2026-03-22)

#1446

I am a Law graduate and I believe that the LLB curriculum should be transformed to align with current needs of law students. It does not make sense for us to attend law school post grad when we could have just done it in undergrad. It is time consuming, expensive and takes away from integral components and functions of being a Candidate Attorney. Half of your “practicals” automatically belong to PVT studies. Incorporate it into LLB and exams will be written post grad.

Matshepe Morule (Cape Town CBD, 2026-03-22)

#1449

Iam signing because i am a law student and I find it very unfair to pay for practicals

Khanyile Mahlangu (Groblersdal, 2026-03-22)

#1451

I’m signing at an agreement to the use of doing pvt with an expensive money while having to write the board exams as well of which costs a lot of money, the law should be accurate and serve fairness to law students.

Lihlithemba Mthembu (Durban, 2026-03-22)

#1453

Because I want to see Law Graduates able to enter the world of practice without having paid lots amount of money for their practicals.

Katlego Maoka (Bloemhof, 2026-03-23)

#1457

im signing because this affects my career

Aaliyah Lakay (cape town, 2026-03-23)

#1459

I'm signing because we do not have money for PVT. Nursing have practicals included in their course, Dr's also have practicals included in their course and a two years training which pays them reason amount of money. As LLB students all we ask, is for LPC to include PVT into LLB course. That will an able every student to have access to PVT and find jobs after completion of their course

Thys Molapisi (Gauteng, 2026-03-23)

#1461

Legal education is important to the development of any country, the state must fund such studies to any extent possible.

Derick Lekoloane (Rustenburg, 2026-03-23)

#1462

It's unfair to LLB Graduates from disadvantaged background.

Lungelo Gamede (Durban, 2026-03-23)

#1464

I am signing because I have just completed a law degree and it is difficult to secure articles. The requirements of articles are hard to meet especially if you do not have license or your own reliable car.

Kabelo Serage Motswiane (Burgersfort, 2026-03-23)

#1465

I'm singing this quotation because I want the office of higher education together with Government to change the PVT costs or put the PVT into a LLB curriculum

#1469

I'm signing because, I'm law student and this will affect me also.

Kabelo Tiesetsho Monareng (Bushbuckridge, 2026-03-23)

#1470

because i agree that it is expensive that unemployed LLB graduates should pay so much money to write board exams

Amarah Hamid (Kimberley, 2026-03-23)

#1471

Law graduate should also be treated same as a teachers and doctors who do their practical while they're still studying. These system supposed to be changed, law school are expensive and it is not easy to secure articles these days.

Maanda Rodney Phadziri (Polokwane, 2026-03-23)

#1473

I am doing my final year as an llb student and I can't get the registration money from anyone. I have been a government fund child since I was a child I used grants and now in tertiary I use nsfas.

Itumeleng Sedie (Johannesburg, 2026-03-23)

#1475

I’m signing this because I believe it is not to the advantage of students from a poor background to pay such amount of money

Owam Mahlanza (East London, 2026-03-23)

#1482

I'm signing this because it is so accurate, many newly graduates cannot afford law school and why is it paid for. It should be part of the LLB learning curriculum indeed.

Ayanda Ndlovu (Ladysmith, 2026-03-23)

#1484

I’m signing because i agree 100% with the fact that it is unfair that LLB students have to pay to do practicals when other students have it as part of their curriculum.

Vuyelo Mabasa (Malamule, 2026-03-24)

#1493

What is being said on this petition is very true. How can someone like me who does not even work and dependent on a single parent make it in being a lawyer while there are things that cost much like this.

Doctor Mavuso (Paul roux, 2026-03-24)

#1494

Gift Mkhabele (Giyani, 2026-03-24)

#1498

I'm signing because it makes a lot of sense to do away with this madness. It's taxing to the students; both mentally and financially.

Bongani Mavuso (Sandton, Johannesburg, 2026-03-25)

#1501

We cannot pay for doing practicals while we're unemployed

Fhulufhelo Nari (Elim, 2026-03-25)

#1504

Im a second year law student from an unprivileged background and the PVT system is something that i couldn't afford if thou it isn't a luxury but a requirement for me to have a career.

Londeka Andiswa Yaka (Stanger, 2026-03-25)

#1509

I agree that paying for PVT things is really unfair to people or rather graduates that come from a poor background. It now makes law accessible only to the rich.

Buhle Pose (Cape town, 2026-03-26)

#1511

It's really a concerning matter that's affects majority of those who come from destitute families

Nonqaba Jojozi (Johannesburg, 2026-03-26)

#1517

I am a law student from a disadvantaged background.

Alwande Nsele (NEWCASTLE, 2026-03-27)

#1518

I think it is not fair for law graduates to spend fortunes for law school enrollment, when there could be practicals .This could save time and money for the graduates.

Sthembile Dlamini (Durban, 2026-03-28)

#1521

I am LLB students this will affect me in the future as a person coming from disadvantaged background.

Anele Mkhize (IXopo, 2026-03-28)

#1526

I'm singing because of I'm almost done with my NCV level 4 of safety in society and I would like to further my studies n I have seen a lot of students not being able to finish the course due to fees required for exams such as funding education should be free

Siphosethu Blouw (Somerset East, 2026-03-28)

#1528

We are asking the Legal Practise Council, Law Society of South Africa and LED to change the 6 months PVT Course into the LLB CURRICULUM.

Amanda Tyhaleka (Johannesburg, 2026-03-28)

#1529

It unfair to people coming from disadvantaged backgrounds who want to better their lives. This is gatekeeping and it’s not a good thing whoever come up with this is blocking a poor black child African in particular from making their dreams come true.

Enam Mthunzini (Alberton, 2026-03-28)

#1535

I’m supporting this awareness and movement

Gift Mathipa (Polokwane, 2026-03-30)

#1539

I’m signing because, Practical Vocational Training is essential part of one’s journey to being admitted and it is compulsory, it should be intergrated in the curriculum, rather than leaving it to the graduates wits. It’s hard to find paying article and 22K is expensive even for a working single mother such as myself.

Rea Tlhoaele (Pretoria, 2026-03-30)

#1540

I understand the financial challenges which many students face, which make some give up their dream of being attorneys.

I am signing because i also a law student

Khavhandwele Tshusa (Thohoyandou, 2026-04-02)

#1553

I am signing this petition because many LLB graduates, including myself, face financial challenges after completing our degree. Paying such a high amount for PVT/PLT delays or prevents many capable students from entering the legal profession. Practical training should form part of the LLB programme to make the profession more accessible

Palesa Kgoelepalesa@gmail.com (Tembisa, 2026-04-02)

#1556

I'm doing my LLB degree
