Change the PVT into LLB curriculum

Why should unemployed LLB graduates have to pay almost R22k for doing practicals of 6 months and still have to write board exams on top of everything else, PVT can costs lot of money and graduates from disadvantage families can't afford anything near that amount and there are no any other  financial aid to fund the law school, which really kills and delay the future of the South African youths.

PVT/ PLT should also be part of LLB curriculum in 4th year, the very same way B.ed and MBChB students done practicals in hospitals and schools in the last year of study before graduation.

Moot Court does not help students with anything and it's not even a requirements anywhere in legal practice. Replace the Moot Court competitions with 6 months PVT course and change it to compulsory modules.

Why pay for doing practicals? The very same practicals that are supposed to be part of the learning in curriculum. In Lesotho, PVT course is part of the curriculum and the only thing graduates waits for after graduation is admission to practice. Let's improve things for better In legal practice and join our neighbour country like Lesotho in developing to prepare better future for LLB graduates.

We're only asking Legal Practice Council, Law Society of South Africa, and LEAD to change and integrate the  6 months PVT course into the LLB curriculum.17734651688162.jpg
