The Sinethemba Home Based Care Workers Group would like you to join a petition to support their letter of protest to the Department of Health on ending 58 Home based Care workers contracts, which goes into effect on April 1, 2023.

Why We Need Your Signature for the Petition

• The home-based caregivers serve the most vulnerable in Malmesbury, Western Cape, and have been operating for 21 years.
• They serve the most sick and vulnerable patients who require home-based care and who, at times, may not have families to care for them.
• There is now a risk that the community they serve will suffer as the health workers are taken off their jobs.
• During the pandemic, they were part of the frontline health workers who risked their lives.
• Most of the workers are breadwinners and haven't had time to seek other job opportunities.

We would like to formally assist Sinethemba Home-based Health Care workers to get back to work and serve the community.
