Save Carterhatch Children Centres

Carterhatch Children Centres (Bell Lane and Autumn Close, Enfield) are stopping day care places for children of working parents who PAY for their child care.

From September 2014, these two centres will ONLY be running places that are FULLY FUNDED BY THE GOVERNMENT. Please join us in our efforts to save our children from losing their daycare place and from working parents being forced to leave their jobs and become a burden on the welfare state!

(Places at other children centres are limited and many of them are phasing out taking non government funded children  and may follow suit).

"Every Child Matters" is not just a saying, it is based on the principle that every child should be provided with the same opportunities to achieve and be safe. Therefore, why have our children been selected to be deprived and uprooted?

Is it because we work as parents? because we actually pay for childcare? because we are attempting to make a positive contribution to society?

The fact that we are being penalised for this is utterly astounding and wrong. NO consideration has been given to the detrimental affect this will have on our chcildren. Children need to be provided with consistency and an understanding of what is going to happen.
