Request for a new Safety Crossing on St John's Road Buxton
This a request for the Borough and County Council to carry out an investigation and to work with the Highways department to carry out a survey for the most efficient and safest way to protect local residents.
There is a need for a new crossing on St John's Road, preferrably adjacent to Broomsway passage, to allow safe access to Macclesfield Road and ultimately access to Burbgae Primary School.
With no current safe access across the road, local parents and children along with the elderly and disabled residents are finding it increasingly difficult to cross St John's Road safely. This is increasingly difficult due to the volume and speed of the traffic driving up and down St Johns Road, going in and out of town.
A new safety crossing will drastically reduce the risk to parents, children and other local residents when crossing this increasingly busy road.
Therefore, your support in addrssing this opportunity is extremely important in order to gain the support for the funds to carry out this essential work.
