I HAVE LIVED IN PONTYMISTER/RISCA FOR 24 YEARS. I CHOSE TO LIVE HERE BECAUSE OF THE SURROUNDING NATURAL BEAUTY AND FOR THE CLOSE COMMUNITY SPIRIT. MOST OF THE RESIDENTS IN RISCA AND PONTYMISTER HAVE A BEAUTIFUL SOUTH FACEING VEIW OF OCHERWYTH,WHICH HAS NOW BEEN DYSTROYED BY A OVERSIZED NEON 'TESCO EXTRA'SIGN WHICH DOMINATES THE VEIW OF THE VALLEY FOR AT LEAST 3 MILES FROM ROGERSTONE TO CROSSKEYS. THIS IS IN MY OPINION IS GRAFFITI OF THE WORST KIND! WHY THEN SHOULD IT BE LEGAL?
THE AIM OF THIS PETITION IS SIMPLY TO HAVE THE SIGN REMOVED! WE ALL KNOW TESCO IS NOW IN RISCA,SO THERE IS NO NEED OF A SIGN WHICH HURTS PEOPLES EYE'S AND ENTERS INTO THIER HOMES. HAVEING THE SIGN REMOVED WILL NOT AFFECT JOBS OR TRADE AT THE STORE.
