Geater Accra — TEMA IS the only planned city with a beautiful picturesque landscape of green grass dotted with plants stretching to the 22 communities at the moment. Tema is the industrial hub of the nation and the gateway to Ghana
With its geographical position and the Greenwich Meridian, Tema is considered the center of the earth.
The green belt areas in Tema were not only for beautification purposes but rather to absorb gasses released into the atmosphere by the many industries operating in the harbour city.
Corrupt individuals and institutions are selling these green belt areas through out the communities which has been turned to garages, bars etc leading to the exposure of residents to gasses / pollution emanating from such industries.
Due to politics, a well planned city such as Tema had become a slum since individuals and institutions such as the TMA and the Tema Development Corporation (TDC) had failed to do what is right.Assembly Members do not want to lose their seats during election time thus looking on while residents do the wrong thing.
Sign this petition to let the powers that be (Tema Development Corporation / Tema Metropolitan Assembly) know that enough is enough and that we want back our TEMA.
