Although I do not live in Northallerton, I have family who do and I was shocked to see the unsafe conditions of the streets surrounding their home. I strongly support energy-reducing schemes however after seeing the conditions in some Northallerton neighbourhoods I feel a compromise is needed in order to maintain safe living conditions for the residents of this lovely town.

How many more victims are going to have to suffer at the hands of the council, people pay there council tax and expect to live in a safe environment. Policing is down and saving money at the expense of people's suffering is just not good enough is it going to take for someone to be killed or beaten to death! Do you not realise the Northallerton reputation has seriously gone down since the no lights?
Standards are needed and if the council refuse to take action then residents of Northallerton I'm sure you will!!

Hambleton DC as well as other councils continue to Save (robbing from us all) without rebate for lack of services. Now towns folk are being attacked and robbed... In a sleepy hollow like Northallerton. WTF?!?

 You need to let the council know that you pay for the street lighting with your council tax also you pay taxes out of the wages and certain amount is for street lighting your paying part of the bill and if your not getting what you pay for you'll stop paying end off no lighting no council tax easy.
