2024-12-11 11:18:25Yesterday afternoon brought a pleasant surprise as the Beacon Bay police set up a roadblock, stopping and turning back vehicles attempting to bring alcohol into the area. These small efforts contribute to a growing wave of positive change!
With Christmas festivities ramping up, the police will need all the support they can get. Please continue to share this petition widely. Strong backing will empower Councillor Pohl to advocate for additional resources, including traffic police roadblocks, clear signage, and potentially a boom to control congestion, to keep the area safe and also enable access for emergency vehicles in the area.
At the moment we have 168 signatures - we can definitely get a lot more!

2024-12-05 07:59:22We now have 73 signatures. I am optimistically hoping for 1000 by the end of next week! The Metro has now committed to zero tolerance for by-law contraventions. Let's put pressure on them and hold them to their commitment. Not just over Christmas but indefintely. Our beach is for everyone! And it is truly beautiful - let's keep it that way.
