Alberton residents are under siege! - Keep Alberton Safe!
The defunding of our Police by a staggering R5 850 139 Billion has compromised the Police ability to combat crime in our town.
Violent crime is skyrocketing across Alberton, with Murder up 50%, Rape up 25%, Carjackings up 50% and Sexual Assault up 100% - this is according to the latest fourth quarterly crime statistics.
Enough is Enough, it is time that ALL of Alberton unites!
Send a strong and clear message to Parliament and the Minister of Police, that we, the residents of Alberton, will not tolerate the defunding of the Police and the subsequent horrific increase in crime.
The DA calls on the Portfolio Committee on Police to urgently investigate the increase in crimes and the lack of sector police officers and vehicles.
