4 Day School Week In Ontario

As shown in other countires: Scotland, Spain, Iceland, and Japan they all have 4 day school weeks (in some of the areas in each country) accoring to https://www.goodto.com/family/4-day-school-week-will-it-happen. A 4 day school week would help relief lots of stress off students but also teachers as it is a day to rest, mark, or make up new lessons. The money that is saved by Ontario when not having school on Friday will go towards daycares and child centres as some parents aren't able to provide that extra day off for their child. With these kids and teenagers having this extra day off, they can be productive by increasing work hours, volunteering, getting done homework, studying, more sleep, and extra cirrucluar activities. Having this day off will also help out many peoples mental health as many are overwhelmed with homework and other activities outside of school. Lots of students also suffer from anxiety and because of this having a shorter school week would benefit them as they won't feel anxious to go to school on that day or to have loads of homework/be overwhelmed at the same time.
