Youth Support for Young London

Dear Members of City Council,

We, the undersigned young people (ages 15-29) of London, are writing to show our support for Young London and its mission to ensure that youth voices are heard, valued and acted upon in our city.

We believe:

• Young people deserve meaningful opportunities to contribute, learn, grow and lead.

• The experiences of youth range widely - from those who are surviving, to those who are thriving - and every part of that journey matters.

• Through volunteering, education, employment and civic engagement, youth can and should play a strong role in building a thriving economy, city, and community.

• Our city can be stronger and more inclusive when we have structures, programs and supports that work for all youth, regardless of our background, expereinces, or circumstances.

Therefore, we urge the City Council to support Young London’s work to build inclusive pathways for youth, integrate youth voice into planning and evaluation, and address key issues like food security, housing, employment and youth economic prosperity.
