My 3rd grade teacher used this word in our classroom when teaching black history, a student asked what it was and she said “someone like Ashley” this incident stayed with me well into my adult years. I hadn’t heard or been called the N word before this day. But she gave me a label and my classmates started using it on me. Teachers like this need to be removed from our school system.

This is the second incident that I am now hearing about, a principal in Brampton made a racial comment about a student and nothing was done.
