Underberg does have the option and luxury of a high school, a fact that is not mentioned in the petition. This is the reason the Department is not willing to register another high school which has so few students. Why not pool resources and have one high school that all learners can go to, instead of polarizing the community with petty slander about which high school is the best in Underberg and misleading people into thinking that there is no other high school in town.

Thanks for the input - valid to say the least, but sadly the offer of pooling resources has been declined by the other school you speak of.  Our parents in this community are sending children away to boarding school in spite of the presence of this other school.  They are looking for IEB or Cambridge enriched curricula and therefore the existing school is not deemed an alternative.  In the absence of alternatives we have created one.  We welcome discussion with any member of the community in this regard, and discourse with the said school is also most welcome. Thanks for voicing your concerns.
