Traffic Signalling at JimFouche/Constantia Drs,Constantia Kloof

I have seen some horrific accidents on the corner of Jim Fouche and Constantia Drive.

I travel this road every day and so does my husband and my sons.

An extremely dangerous intersection which is practically impossible to get through most times of the day. It has a 4 lane road on the one side; a single lane on the other; a fast driving hill coming down into the intersection and then also an entrance into a garage. Many serious accidents take place here.

It is a very dangerous intersection. We were involved in an accident on that intersection.

It is very necessary for some form of traffic control to be in place at this intersection

The purpose of the petition is to ensure safety for everybody as it has proven to be a serious problem and has been for the last 30 years since we are residing in the area.

I travel this road to and from work on a daily basis and the intersection is not safe as vehicles pull out in front without warning

My daughter using the crossing 6 times per day and always complain about the conditions.

We urgently need intervention here due to the great risk of accidents at the intersection.

This intersection is almost impossible to get through,especially when turning right from Constantia Drive,during peak periods.

I feel we need traffic calming at this intersection due to the many road accidents at this intersection.

It is a very busy intersection and very diffucult to cross over. Accidents occur there regular and it would be safer to have a robot or 4 way stop.

Because I am going to be seriously injured if not killed at the intersection of Jim Fouche and Constantia Drive. I take the life of my grandson and myself in my hands every day. My daughter IS ALSO IN DANGER EVERY SINGLE DAY AT THIS DANGEROUS INTERSECTION

Because I believe the intersection is becoming more dangerous with the increase of cars using the roads.

I live in the area and have to cross over that road regularly which is definitely a very difficult and dangerous road to cross over any time of the day as the road is always busy. Lets avoid more accidents and more deaths.

Too many accidents at this specific intersection have claimed and mained too many lives already and it can be easily prevented. Traffic on this road has increased drastically in the last 12 years that I have lived here and have had to use that intersection myself, and it is not getting better. People are speeding up the hill from the traffic lights on the corner of Hendrik Potgieter and Jim Fouche and have reached speeds in excess of 100km an hour in a 60km an hour zone. By the time they reach that intersection, they can't stop! The same is true for the cars comming down the hill in Jim Fouche. They gather alarming speeds down the hill and it makes for very bad accidents there, as the person tying to join Jim Fouche often don't see them before they are right on top of them! Most of the accidents occur during the morning peak traffic hours when people are late for work or for schools. They take the "short cut" through Constantia Drive to join the other main roads in the area, so us trying to join from the Constantia Drive direction, never get a chance. It is either the ones comming down the hill, going up the hill or those trying to rush across from opposite Constantia Drive that all have right of way! This causes extreme frustration and the drivers then take chances by jumping in front of oncomming traffic! PLEASE HELP US!!!!!

My wife has to use that road every day. Every day I hear tyres screaming I wonder if she has been in an accident. We live near enough to hear every impact crunch and wonder which of our neighbours have lost their lives or family.

I am a concerned resident who uses this road often and confirm it is very dangerous, with many accidents witnessed over several years. Intervention is urgent!

I drive through that intersection daily. It is very dangerous..

It is imperative that we have traffic control mechanism at this location as the accident stats justifies such need. I have personally witnessed a couple of terrible accidents at the same location in the past 6 months.

My son passed way a month ago. He was 18 years old in a motorcycle accident. Our hearts are broken and if signing this petition will make our roads safer then we all should be signing. Our roads are dangerous and more needs to be done to make them safer
