Appeal to provide Toilet and Washing facilities in Bukit Kiara

We, regular walkers, jungle trekkers and cyclists in Kiara Hill and their supporters, hereby appeal to the authorities (Jabatan Landskap, DBKL) to provide toilet and washing facilities (standpipe) at the lower guard house ( end of Changkat Abang Haji Openg) as part of basic amenities for the public.

Hundreds of people (walkers/jungle trekkers/cyclists) visit Bukit Kiara daily, especially on weekends. While there are proper toilet and washing facilities over the Kiara Park area, there is none over the hill side.

Those who walk in the jungle are covered with mud on their shoes and often dirty their hands holding onto tree trunks/branches. They need to wash up and not transfer all the dirt into the car after the walk. Some need to change their wet outfits while some seniors need to use the toilet before or after their walks due to prostate/aging problem.

Toilet and washing facilities are basic infrastructures and necessities for health and hygiene.

We therefore urge the authorities to consider our request as part of a caring Government for the wellbeing of its people.

Thank you.
