WE DEMAND VIDEO OF BALDWIN PARK'S DOGS' BEHAVIOR

Magic’s death continues to haunt us and torment us.

Magic’s Due Out Date was 10-10, yet he was killed on 10-8, and no time of death was recorded, or at least given to me when asked.

Networkers all around the world help to save dogs from Baldwin Park shelter. We work according to the information given us.

When were we notified when Magic’s Due Out Date changed?

We are asking, whoever is in charge of these life-and-death decisions, why was Magic killed? “Behavior” is non-descript. Everyone has behavior.

Dogs, like humans, become afraid when our lives are in danger when we sense our imminent death confronted by our attacker.

Did you kill Magic killed because he was afraid?

It is so difficult to believe, or even imagine what sort of “behavior” Magic exhibited to cause his handlers to execute him, when just the day prior the sergeant noted how nice dog and is adoptable.”

He suddenly “became” unadoptable, therefore a rush to kill him?
Was he so dangerous that the experienced, professional handlers in Baldwin Park shelter feared for their very lives?
He became so fearful that not even a rescue was allowed to save his life?
Was any rescue notified when Magic changed from being “adoptable” to being “approved” for his destruction? If so, cite documentation.

We, the public, would like evidence that Magic’s “behavior” was so unacceptable that not even a rescue was given the opportunity to save him.

We, the public, request of the elected officials supervising Baldwin Park shelter to direct and enforce a policy, whereby requiring Baldwin Park shelter to demonstrate and document in the form of real-time audio-visual, the specific “behavior” which determines their authorized death.

We, the public, demand a video taken of such dogs deemed a “behavior” or “aggressive” or “fearful” or “unadoptable” BEFORE the “approval” of killing them.

We, the public, also demand a video/audio-visual taken when the dog receives temperament testing.
Too many dogs are “failing” the test, rendering them Rescue Only, and unadoptable.
These dogs are then killed because rescues are full and cannot save many more dogs.

We don’t believe these dogs are evaluated fairly; therefore, we need infallible proof of these tests made available to the public.

THE VOICELESS

We, the public, need to start demanding from the ones in charge of these animals' lives a complete disclosure of the specific "behaviors" and "observations" that determine the destruction of these animals' lives! We will no longer tolerate and accept the overly-simplified and overly-used label of "aggressive" to pts these animals. "Aggression" is highly subjective to the perception of the person and does not clearly indicate the SPECIFIC behaviors that deemed the perception, subsequently the subjective description and label "aggressive."

On numerous occasions, I'm sure we have particular stories to tell, how dogs have been saved, despite being labeled “aggressive” by the owners and the shelters. Unless and until we raise our voices and demand from the shelters and our elected officials that this labeling of "aggression" in animals without documentation of the specific "behaviors" and "observations," these dogs will continue to be destroyed without justice and without voice.

WE ARE THEIR VOICE!
