Tzaneen Load Reduction Challenges

We, as affected Greater Tzaneen municipality communities (mhlaba jb, sasekani moime,khujwana,lephephane,tickyline, dan, bokgaga, parts of Burgersdorp & other affected communities), we are hereby complaining about unfair and rudeness of Load Reduction..

We suffer 8 hours Reduction everyday whereby you implement it in a crucial times which is 05:00 to 09:00 & 17:00 to 21:00.

Our CHALLENGES:

1. We are unable to prepare for the school and work in the morning.

2. We are unable to do school activities in the evening because we do part time jobs during the day since we applied for distance learning

3. We fail to finish our online exams because of network causing by Reduction.

4. As Grade 12 candidates, you already doomed our future

5. Small businesses loses more profit because you implement Reduction during peak hours.

6.You list many areas in your schedule but you implement Reduction in only 10% of communities. The rest enjoy the usage of electricity but we are governed by the same municipality

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

1. Treat us equally as the citizens of Tzaneen municipality

2. Stop implementing Reduction during crucial times

3. Reduce number of hours

4. If possible, permanently stop Reduction like other municipalities in SA

NB} Failing to do that, we are prepared to consult upper structures such as Public protector & COGTA to investigate our matter in the municipality.

And strong legal protest will follow.
