The Rites Journey program has been incredibly successful, and so much of that is because of Mr Smith’s thoughtful leadership and the strong, trusting relationships he has built with our kids.He has guided them with genuine care — helping them grow, face challenges with confidence, and step into young adulthood with wisdom and resilience. His mentorship has been a true blessing, and we deeply hope it can continue as they move through Years 10–12.
Mr Watson, is there any possibility that you and the school board could consider keeping Mr Smith as the wellbeing lead for our children until they graduate? Losing him now would be a significant setback for them.
Having him continue both as wellbeing leader and as part of the Year 9 Rites Journey would be in the best interests of our kids and their further development. Thank you

Scott has been an absolute inspiration to Oliver and has been instrumental in supporting Oliver and his friends to navigate his first few years of high school. We are devastated that Scott will no longer be directly involved with our cohort and feel this will be detrimental not only to Oliver’s ongoing success as a student and young man, but also to the broader student cohort. We urge you to reconsider this change.Paige Harper (2025-11-14)
