Say no to alcohol next to Southern Cross Campus

In their stupidity, the goons at the Auckland District Licensing Committee have approved a new liquor shop directly opposite a large South Auckland school – the Southern Cross Campus.

They approved it despite huge opposition from the community, the school, central and local-body politicians, the Medical Officer of Health and various community groups.

The Campus educates pupils from year 1-13 – more than 1500 students attend the school.

The new Thirsty Liquor shop will be directly opposite the school.

I think this is a stupid idea. I publicly oppose it and I’m asking for you to as well.
