PETITION TO IMPROVE SAFETY AND SECURITY IN REIGER PARK
We, the residents of Reiger Park, demand urgent intervention and action to address the ongoing wave of gang-related crimes that are claiming lives and terrorizing our community.
We, the residents, herewith petition the MMC for Community Safety to: (1) The MMC must engage the SAPS to establish a multi-disciplinary task team to tackle the high rate of gang related crime; (2) increase police visibility, especially during high-risk hours; (3) install security cameras to eliminate hiding spots for criminals, and; (4) Implement an integrated crime prevention programmes, including awareness initiatives on substance abuse, domestic violence, and sexual crimes. The MMC must take immediate action to address the crisis, provide a plan for increased police presence, and community safety initiatives. WE, THE RESIDENTS, DEMAND SAFETY AND SECURITY!
