Objection to Matric Ball on Wednesday and October month 2025

Dear Educators 

We as class of 2025 object to our matric ball to be held on a week night the Wednesday and in the month of October 2025 we wish to show this platform that our options and objectives matter in this case. We request as students that the suggestioned day of a Wednesday creates many challenges in terms of working parents traffic hiring companies, car hiring companies closed or private use will be affected as traffic and working drivers.

Our parents where told to take leave on this suggested day however this might mean that our parents won't get paid on this day. During this difficult financial crisis many of our parents face this suggestion comes with no merit and consideration. 

Family members that would be able to celebrate our achievements and share a memorable night with us due to in the week and working challenges transport and traffic. 

This will also mean that our parents need to collect us on a week night late or having to ask family or neighbors for transport assistance. 

We hope that you as educators can reconsider and remember this is about us and our dreams.
