Unathi Mbalati, a first-year male student at Tshwane University of Technology, was stabbed to death by a fellow student, yet the justice system has failed him.
The case was dismissed due to a “missing docket.”
How does a life disappear into thin air because of missing paperwork?
Unathi deserves justice. His family deserves closure. The public deserves the truth.
We call on the South African Police Service and the Department of Justice to reopen the case, recover the missing docket, and hold all responsible parties accountable, 
not just the perpetrator, but also those whose negligence buried this case.
