Some of the rich world's workers are afraid that other workers would come and "steal their jobs" or lower their living standards. Ignoring economics and our own history of rising populations and rising living standards, they have built a wall to keep others out. This wall is however not only made of legal barriers into any country but also of legal (or union) barriers to sell your labor on a western labor market. Upholding these barriers destroy millions of lives.
