Save rural Longridge.......don't make it a concrete jungle.....even the Queen must pass through it sometimes on her retreat to the beautiful countryside, and for the residents of Longridge, who live there for a reason.........and the reason is not to live in a built up mass!!!!!

Uttilities,schools ,Doctors are struggling to cope now, even more chaos if further building allowed.
Keep the Ribble Valley as beautiful as it is now.

Whilst I agree with making housing affordable to our younger residents the amount of affordable housing on offer (1% I believe) is a smokescreen for developers to hide behind. The quality of life for our residents now has fallen if we take in to consideration the amount of time it now takes to commute in and out of Longridge and the length of time you need to wait for an appointment at the Drs. Sustainability is key to any developments however the town is struggling now with increased use of the roads etc. This isn't about our residents or town at all it's about landowners and construction companies lining their own pockets. RVBC need to take a stance for once however they too are about as much use as a chocolate teapot. We need to stand together to save our town before we get swallowed up in the ever sprawling city of Preston.

Unrestricted growth will change Longridge to become a suburb of Preston City, which means the character and outlook of the town will change and not for the better.

We need affordable housing for our kids to remain in the town. Not miller Homes houses starting at £219,000 for a three bed roomed detached.

I'd like to know where all the people that will live in these houses will work? Longridge is not a centre of manufacturing or huge corporate institutions, so every morning they will get in their cars and drive 10 or 20 miles to work (and back again). Surely houses nearer places of work makes more sense than just build somewhere that houses will make the most money

fox development got their plans passed on appeal but now want to revise those plans and scrap the swimming pool and leisure facilities for more houses on whittingham road ,  Why do revised plans only go to Preston Council and not the goverment inspector that allowed the appeal?  !!!

It's almost impossible to cross the road at times as it is! Where would all these people work? The crumbling roads are jammed NOW! There's no rail link to Preston as an alternative. Where are all their kids going to school? What about the sewers????,,,,,,etc etc etc.......!!!!!

Traffic congestion in Longridge is terrible, and you risk your life crossing Berry Lane on foot. We have substandard roads and infrastructure for existing residents and traders, never mind a population influx. Unsustainable, soulless development threatens to destroy the beauty and integrity of the area. It is a disgrace.

This is not about building homes for local young and elderly people. It is all about large companies bullying the rest of us to make more profits. It seems as if there is nobody in authority willing or able to stand up for the wishes of the electorate or for that matter for the environment. So much for our so called democracy.

I live next to the miller home site I campaigned to try and stop this build but instead of it being stopped what was meant to be a 58 house site has now rumoured to be turning into a 400 house building site. I would like to ask ask the council will a 30mph speed limit realistically cope with all the traffic and keep people safe?

I have already filed a Save Longridge Petition at the Station Rooms in Longridge and I am in contact with Councillor Ken Hind with a view to doing everything possible to prevent Developers taking over.
