Why did you sign this petition? I am tired of paying for a metro plus ticket and not getting a seat because the trains are always late and therefore metro passengers get in the plus carriages. I'm late Everyday for work and don't have another means to get there. peak trains are always cancelled

Every week im late for work. I even try to be earlier on the station to get to wrk on tym. If they dnt cancel trains on the northern line they send trains so short no one can get in. Its un safe for all commuters as we see how they push to get into a full train. First class is not even first class. Security is never seen so are the ticket gaurds making sure that we have valid tickets ppl smoke dagga nd they dnt do anyting after its reported. Every week month in year in nd out. My list culd go on nd on nd on

Tired of train delays and on many occasions no announcements of trains cancellations.
Some people have now started to think that smoking dagga between carriages is normal and threaten other communities if they complain of dagga smell in carriages.
Robberies is a daily occurrence and bothibg is been done about it,have had my phone stolen also in the train.

Tygerberg cluster community police board identified this issue as a major common crime prevention project at their department of community safety PNP in November 2015. The WC department of transport has still not confirmed any high level committee formations to give the CPF an opportunity to have a voice! This despite the situation degenerating on a daily basis - causing unemployment, victims of crime and very little successful investigations by saps and criminal cases reaching Court or succeeding in any convictions !

Even though I'm not at present a metrorail user, I have seen the conditions on these trains and lack of safety precautions firsthand.So I back this petition all the way,something has to be done!

Metrorail have taken advantage of the commuters for so long. Most of us depend on our jobs to support ourselves, its a daily battle getting to work on time and safely. Daily we hear about robberies, stabbings, there are no visible policing. Overloaded carriages, seats in disrepair, disgustingly dirty trains. When is it going to stop? Dealing with rude, abusive staff.

The security is almost non-existent on the trains. They just do a brief walk through on early afternoon trains, then that's the only "security" us commuters get.

I feel unsafe in the train in the afternoons before peak why is there no security patrolling through the trains.The only time you see police on the trains is during december and its not right! We can't protect ourselves from guns which all the thieves carry lately.
