I'm frustrated. Nurses provide care and we need parking permits. Tired of rushing my home visits because meter time is running out or alternate side street parking about to begin.

If you have people who provide or assist with the recovery and treatment with patients. I think it's only fair to make them comfortable as they are making others do on a day to day basis without worrying about their vehicles being towed or lengthy delays trying to park. Assisting lives matter.

 Yes. It interrupts patient care when we nurses have to hurry our visits to get back to the vehicle on time. I had family members of patients stay outside to watch the car to prevent getting tickets; patients moving their cars for me to park and running back in the house to hurry the visit; patients canceling visits because nurse is late because of parking issues; nurses canceling visits because of parking issues.

I'm so sorry for the Manhattan nurses who have to be on foot struggling with a 30 lb bag and going from train to bus. Walks can be three or more blocks. Imagine bad weather?

Law makers you are humans too. One day you may need home care services. We need to serve the public better. Why permit parking for other disciplines even when they are not on the job. Please consider nursing.

I'm a nurse. I've had my car ticketed in Queens as I ran into a building to see a resident. Granted the "spot" was questionable but getting to see someone who needed my services was worth it. Docs can park wherever they want but us nurses are the ones who are really out in the trenches! Forget about the 5 Boros. It should be throughout NYS! Let us park!!!

Why the agency's and company owners haven't figured this out is astounding. Hopefully they are responsible and foot the bill for tickets and tows, if not hold them responsible.

I am a home care visiting nurse. I have spend hundreds of dollars on parking, double parking, meter tickets despite my work plaque. It is so hard to provide a good standard of care for homebound patients. Especially working the bronx where most of our elders are compromised health wise. Change should occur for the greater good!

We live in Brooklyn Heights and the VN didn't show up for my husband because there was no place to park. Not a great excuse but I agree, they should be given parking permits.

I work private duty and visit patients at their homes and parking has always been an issue. It impedes on the care I give to my patients because I find myself having to rush.

Denying timely and essential health care services to those who need it is extremely detrimental to those recipients who need it. A society should be judged by how they treat those most in need. Allow nurses to provide these services without fear and hardship burdened upon them and their patients.
