To threaten the existence of this historic airfield is completely unecessary; the wind-farm doesn't need to be so close to the airfield given that there is so much suitable land available elsewhere in this area.

This proposal would be a disastrous attack on a well established and popular local amenity. There must be other places available which would not inconvenience the users.

Another valuable resource being swallowed up in the never ending march to "greenism" which does overrule common sense throughout the Country, when will it stop? It is madness to lose North Coates & the employment that goes with it, local MP please act now!!

I have visiting this location in the past & would hate flying to have to cease because of a windfarm which could be located elsewhere.

Typical large company bullying an in use airfield.

Light Aviation in the UK, is being threatened by unnecessary developments like this proposal.

North Coats is one of the jewels in the crown of light aviation, local authorities up and down the country should be protecting and encouraging not just this asset, but all aviation facilities.

Unfortunately the planning committees who approve such things are not fully aware of the implications of placing wind turbines in close proximity to airfields

It would be a sad day indeed, if wind farms are allowed to take precedence.

I am not against wind farms but this proposal should not be allowed to proceed as it threatens the safety and viability of future flying operations at a long established historic aerodrome and I believe there is an acceptable alternative site for the wind farm anyway.

This proposal would mean the end for this historic airfield. More thought needs to go into the location of any proposed wind farm to minimise the negative impact.

If there are alternative sites why would the Local Authority give planning consent where it compromises safety? Or is this another case of planning consent not being required? Democracy? I think not.

top place last time I went there they could not of been more friendly was shown around the place even though the weather was awful. lots of history about this place needs to stay open and not be lost to the dreaded wind farms so im all behind north coates flying club jay from stockport
