END RAPE NOW!

Ntombenhle was sexually assaulted and raped, despite the pain and trauma she endured, her attacker was granted bail of a R1000.00 and has since evaded justice. This is not just her story; it’s a narrative that plays out for countless victims who are denied justice due to loopholes in the legal system and inadequate support structures for survivors.

Sexual assault and rape is a devastating crime that affects millions worldwide. Statistics from different organisations indicate that over 100,000 South Africans have been sexually assaulted. While less of these cases are reported, even a few of these see justice served. This is unacceptable and highlights the urgent need for systemic change.

Laws must be revised to ensure that perpetrators face immediate and certainjustice, reducing the chances of repeat offenses. This includes eliminating bail for repeat offenders, enforcing stricter penalties.

Every Woman, child deserves to live free from the fear of sexual violence. Sign this petition to urge our lawmakers to take immediate and meaningful action to end rape and support survivors. Together, we can drive the changes needed to create a safer and more comfortable society for all.
