From ancient Greek texts to modern international treaties and maps, this body of water has always been recognized as the Persian Gulf. This name reflects the rich heritage and enduring influence of Persian civilization in the region.
Changing or distorting this name disregards centuries of historical and cultural truth. We respectfully urge you to recognize and honor the name Persian Gulf in all official and public references.
