Allow Lilitha Nkomonde to run for SRC president

Hi! I’m Lilitha Nkomonde, a 3rd-year student doing Bachelor of Business Administration at Richfield.

Today, I was told I couldn’t run for SRC President because candidates have “already been chosen.” But one candidate has stepped down, and campaigning only starts tomorrow so why shouldn’t I get a fair chance to run?

Many students, including my class, were not properly informed about the SRC elections. This lack of transparency causes confusion, unfairness, and clashes among students. I actually raised this issue last year, and nothing has been done to address it.

This is a temporary change, and it’s time for students to stand up for themselves and demand fairness and bring change .If you believe that students should have a real voice in SRC leadership and that everyone deserves a fair chance, please sign this petition and support me in running for SRC President.

Let’s make sure our voices are heard and that the SRC represents all of us, not just a few.
