🚨 WIGMORE RESIDENTS DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY AND COMPENSATION! 🚨
Our Councillor, Alan Skepelhorn the Liberal Democrat, vanished after 15 June 2025, and we were never told he was gone. For over six months, our ward has had NO representation from Alan — and with the replacement councillor not due until mid-April 2026, we face EIGHT MONTHS OR MORE WITHOUT HIS VOICE.
During this time, major decisions affecting our homes and community have gone ahead without his input from Wigmore residents:
### 🔥 Key Issues While We Had No Voice:
* Airport expansion up to 32 MILLION passengers per year
* 2,100 houses and three schools proposed on greenspace
* Controversial solar farm
* Other critical planning applications
* AIR POLLUTION COMMITTEE (airport-related) — NO REPRESENTATION FOR WIGMORE
Even when he was told to attend a meeting on 20 Jan 2026, this shouldn't have happened as he was already disqualified by law. The council and his party allowed this situation to continue without apology or explanation.
### 💰 Our Ward Pays a LOT
* Wigmore residents pay roughly £9.7 MILLION per year in council tax
* Council tax has risen 4.99% per year for three years running
* Yet we have been left completely unrepresented
### 😡 WE ARE OUTRAGED
* NO councillor = NO voice
* Critical decisions ignored = UNACCEPTABLE
* Our council tax keeps rising = Representation missing = SWINDLE
* Next councillor may take months, and could be equally useless
* SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES: Without representation, our community’s rights, services, and ability to influence decisions — including vital committees like Air Pollution monitoring for the airport — have been severely compromised

1. Explain why this happened and why residents were not informed!
2. Monitor councillors properly so this NEVER happens again!
3. Tell residents what will be done to restore representation and trust!
4. Consider some form of FINANCIAL RECOGNITION OR REFUND to reflect the loss of representation and its serious consequences!!
