Sign this petition to support Comet Swimming Club and let the Gisborne District Council know that it is NOT OKAY!!! Support this petition to DEMAND that they revoke their decision to give the "Learn to Swim programme" to an International company and support LOCAL.

"When Gisborne District Council chooses an International Company where all profits go abroad, over a Club that has been doing an excellent job teaching our community how to swim and survive in Tairāwhiti for over 65yrs to run their Learn to Swim Programme at the new Kiwa Pools. Do they serve our community? Are they making the best choices for their people? Do they not have a procurement policy that supports local businesses? Why stay living in Gisborne when even the local Council doesn't support local?"
