Request for a Student Pantry with Microwave and Fridge in the West Wing of SIT Punggol Campus

We are requesting the provision of a student pantry with a microwave and refrigerator in the West Wing of SIT Punggol Campus.

Many students bring home-cooked meals but currently have no practical way to store or heat their food.

The only available microwave is a temporary setup at the Office of SITizen Experience in the East Wing. For students based in the West Wing, this option is not practical, given a one-hour lunch break, especially during peak hours with lift congestion.

Without proper pantry facilities in the West Wing, students face limited food options and are forced to eat cold meals stored at unsafe temperatures for several hours, posing a potential food safety concern.

Students should have reasonable access to basic facilities like microwaves and fridges on campus, regardless of which part of SIT they are based in. These are not special requests but essential amenities that support student well-being and health.
