Me and my constituency are directly affected by the seemingly unfair, irregular and fraudulent manner in which the EMPD intake process was carried out, we as the youth of the area have been disadvantaged and these opportunities seized by people not belonging to the immediate area for which the posts were intended. We have come to realize that the recruitment process used is not beneficial to the youth of Kwa-Thema, the recruitment always favour the non- residential youth and mostly people from Limpopo and KZN.

I,m signing this petition because of the way the intership has taken place, most of the interns who are there, are not from Ekurhuleni region, they're coming from other provinces like Limpopo, Venda, Mpumalanga, yet our youth who are staying around Ekurhuleni, kwa Thema, Tsakane, Duduza and Kathorus are struggling to be considered!!! So I strongly support the idea or the motion of stopping this intake and the ought to be a serious verification about all the interns where ecxactly do they originate, that can be done by checking their ID,s where ecxactly did they vote and their matric results where did they do it!!!

Kids in Kwa thema where there's a EMPD college,watch and see students entering/exiting college premises while they are not considered to partake in the training.

Adverts do stress that only resume of Ekurhuleni will be considered for the intake,only the opposit happens in that college.

You find trainees from Limpopo mostly ,who don't even pay municality services and don't even vote in Ekurhuleni but in Limpopo according to IEC registry.

It's so painful to see our youth wake up and idle while tenants in their homes go to the very college in their area when their application were unsuccessful without any given reason.

Trainees in that college are not immediate beneficiaries and do not deserve to be given such opportunities since theres opportunities in the municipalities they come from .

I therefore support the suspension of classes and a new and a fair process excercised in that college

There's people who are not from EKURHULENI majority of the intake is from Lempompo, the youth from Kwathema , Duduza, Tsakane, and nigel meaning (Kwatsaduza) there's only 1% majority of the people are from Thembisa they should also check where you attended your high school metric certificate must be checked if they wrote their metric in Lempopo that means they are not from EKURHULENI

I have been applying for position in JMPD for more than 10 years . But i don't understand why i never got any response or a chance to be interviewed. But i see majority of JMPD employees are from Limpompo. What i don't understand is that the academy is in kwa thema where i was born and attendant school. Is not that i am unskilled so i believe that the is no transparency and I think we deserve a chance as residents of kwa thema. I am self driven worker I have 15 years of work experience and Currently I am 7 years unemployed and no criminal records. So i do not understand why i am not employed.
