SAVE MERSEYSIDE POLICE COMMUNITY SUPPORT OFFICERS

Government cuts have affected Merseyside Police force more so than most other forces.  There is a high risk that both PCSO's and the Mounted police are going to be axed entirely, that is 364 PCSO's and 21 Mounted police; a decision that will be made at the beginning of next year.  PCSO's provide an excellant service to their local communities, you will notice a massive difference if they are gone completely and that is worrying!  Crime rates will only go up, but with little amount of police to respond.  Many people put their trust in PCSO's more so than the police officers, who ulitimately you will only see going past in a car and not on foot!
