Remove the tree

We, the undersigned, are residents, friends, and community members of Euroa and surrounding areas who are deeply saddened by the recent passing of Dylan Ball on October 5th, 2025.

The tree has become a painful reminder of this tragedy for Dylan’s family, friends, and the broader community. While we understand and respect the natural and environmental value of trees in our town, this particular location has now become a site of immense emotional distress and trauma.

We are petitioning for the removal or relocation of this tree, with the hope of allowing those affected to begin healing and to prevent the site from becoming a place of further harm, distress, or imitation.

This request is made not out of disregard for nature, but out of deep compassion for the mental health and wellbeing of our community — especially those who were closest to Dylan.

We respectfully ask the Council to consider this petition with empathy, urgency, and understanding of the sensitive nature of this situation.

Sincerely,
Tahalia-jane Purton
On behalf of the friends and family of Dylan Ball
