2021 fitness attendance indicated as absent instead of non applicable by MOE/SCHOOL during this COVID PANDEMIC

We understood that many of you parents might or may have already receive the message from the respective form teacher with regards to the ABSENT stated on the report book/card mentioning that it will not implicate the students but neither the school nor MOE was able to provide a proper documentation indicating that by putting a tick in the absent box for the physical fitness test.

We tried to seek for a proper standardize reply from the school but to no avail and was redirected to wait for the relevant department from the MOE to get back to us parents.

Despite all the efforts inserted in it, we too wrote in to the MOE and yet the reply was, saying that the school will be in a better position to address this particular matter/issue. To our confusion and frustration, how are we going to move on from here and who should we listen and turn to for the help needed?

These students were all ready and fit to go but due to the current circumstances indicated by the government that fitness test was a no go, hence our children and students were not able to attend the fitness test as dated hence this particular section should be indicated as ‘NON APPLICABLE’ (NA) instead of ABSENT/ NIL!

It is duly unfair to pin this result on the students that were there and fit but wasn’t able to attend due to the instructions passed down by the relevant department because of the pandemic and resulted them indicating it as ABSENT.

Kids may not know the impact that they may have in life down the road/journey now due to this mistake that the school/ MOE is making hence we hope parent out there can take out some of your precious time to sign this petition in the interest of protecting these children involved.
