PROSECUTION OF MOSLEM FOLLOWERS OF SATHYA SAI BABA IN UZBEKISTAN
A witch-hunt similar to that of 1937 was launched in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. The Uzbeks raised as Moslems who visited the ashram of Sathya Sai Baba and follow His teaching have become victims of punitive actions by law-enforcement bodies with gross violation of constitutional rights and freedoms: the police organize round-ups and forfeit books, computers, printers and also produce forged expert examinations and initiate police proceedings on administrative offenses prosecuting devotees for “religious activity, dissemination, keeping, import of religious books and preaching the teachings of the religious organization of Shri Sathya Sai Baba”. Courts, in concert with law-enforcement agencies, violate all legislation acts of the Criminal Procedure Code, Courts Act, the Administrative Liability Code and inflict incredibly enormous penalties ranging from 6 to 12 million sums (state currency), the minimum wage totaling just 6,239 Uzbekistani sum, or just 30 dollars.Please help circulate this information
