Soshanguve Ext 14 & 15 petition to the CoT Municipality and SAPS

We, the concerned residents of Soshanguve Block VV Extension 14 and 15, are calling for immediate action to address the escalating crime in our community.

Over the past three years, we have suffered repeated incidents of:

House break-ins;

Car break-ins; and

Car tyre theft

These crimes have not only resulted in financial loss but have also created a climate of fear and insecurity among families, children, and the elderly in our community.

To the City of Tshwane Municipality:
We respectfully request permission to install a boom gate or remote-controlled access gate with proper access control in our area. This will serve as a necessary measure to deter criminal activity and improve safety for all residents.

To the South African Police Service (SAPS) – Soshanguve:
We urge you to acknowledge the ongoing security challenges we face and to work more closely with our community. Your visible support and collaboration are critical in curbing crime and restoring peace in our neighborhood.

This petition is not just about infrastructure—it’s about protecting lives, property, and dignity. Our community is ready and willing to work together with authorities to make Soshanguve Block VV Ext 14 & 15 a safer place to live.

We ask that this matter be treated with the urgency and seriousness it deserves.
